Tell the House: Our Streams Are Not Waste Dumps!
Take Action

The Bush administration has been trying to eliminate some of the most important environmental safeguards meant to protect waters from being buried by mountaintop removal waste. Water protections are being repealed because the coal industry wants no environmental interference with their unlimited destruction of streams, mountains, forests, and communities. We need your help: Support the Clean Water Protection Act!

Send a letter to the Army Corps of Engineers
Take Action

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has oversight of mountaintop removal permits. Send a letter to John Paul Woodley, Jr., Assistant Secretary for the Army, and urge him to protect the people and the mountains of Appalachia from the destructive practice of mountaintop removal mining!
