The short explanation of this alert was:
 The bill funding Interior-EPA Appropriations for the coming year, which sets spending levels for all types of programs that protect the environment and public health, could be voted on as soon as May 17, 2006.
Earthjustice is supporting a variety of pro-environment amendments to this important bill. Protecting all of our nation’s waters under the Clean Water Act, safeguarding our largest national forest, and guaranteeing that no minority or low-income community has to shoulder an unfair pollution burden are the goals of three of these amendments –- just as they are priorities for all Americans.
We need to take this opportunity to pass good measures that will help to protect our environment and public heath. Please tell your representative to support these environmentally beneficial amendments today!
